We bought some yellow paint about 10 months ago for our kitchen and h.a.t.e.d. it. It was way too bright and somewhat vomit inducing. So we went back to Lowe’s today in a desperate attempt to find a yellow color that we both like for our kitchen. See, the Up with People person is coming in 10 days and we really want the kitchen done THIS weekend so we can spend next weekend cleaning for the arrival on Monday, March 12th.
We are finally making some progress. Here are pictures! Okay… these pictures are really aggravating me. I keep trying to click on them and they kick into “editing” mode. What’s the deal?
Meanwhile, it’s going to look fantastic when it’s done. We’ll paint above the cabinets tomorrow and get the second coat (and maybe third) on. So that’s my day. More pictures will follow as we get closer to finishing (or finish!).

We’ve had a very similar experience, unfortunately. Same color, as well. Paint here is very expensive, so we’re just waiting for a sale and a bright color we’re more suited to. Hope your new yellow turns out better.

Nice color. My kitchen (OK, most of my house) is buttercream.

Okay…well…how was it somewhat vomit inducing? Did you vomit somewhat, or was it only somewhat induced?

I love that color, it’s so cheery!
I thought about you on Saturday. I went to the grocery store and was attacked by girl scouts wearing cookie costumes! They were so cute, I *had* to buy a couple of boxes. Do your girls wear the cookie costume??

Vomit inducing… it was a little of both… just that bad. Thankfully I hadn’t eaten much that day, so little vomit was induced.
